The Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC) was represented on a panel session at Digital Nigeria 2025 by the Commission’s Head of IT & Cybersecurity, Mr Olorunisomo Isola, where he shared key insights on the topic, “The Digital Security Nexus: Harmonising Innovation & Compliance.”

His contribution emphasised NDPC’s commitment to aligning innovation with rigorous data-protection standards while equipping start-ups and SMEs with practical understanding of compliance requirements. He highlighted the need to anticipate emerging regulatory challenges in Nigeria’s rapidly evolving digital landscape and encouraged proactive adaptation to ensure responsible growth, trust, and long-term sustainability across the technology ecosystem.

The discussion, joined by several distinguished experts dedicated to strengthening Nigeria’s cyber-security and digital resilience, highlighted the critical role of shared responsibility in national digital development. It reinforced how collaboration, informed policymaking, and continuous stakeholder engagement are essential for building a secure, resilient, and future-ready digital ecosystem capable of supporting Nigeria’s long-term technological ambitions.
