The Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC) participated in the 2025 Education Conference organised by the Catholic Archdiocese of Abuja, with the theme “Global Compact on Education: Reviving Our Commitment to the Younger Generation.”
Hosted by the Metropolitan Archbishop of Abuja, the Most Reverend Ignatius A. Kaigama, the NDPC was represented at the conference by its Head of Innovation, Mrs Adaobi Nwankwo. The event, which brought together administrators, educators, and policymakers from Catholic schools across Abuja, provided a platform to discuss strategies for renewing educational values and addressing challenges affecting young learners in an increasingly digital and data-driven environment.
The NDPC’s participation in the event reinforced its commitment to promoting data protection awareness and responsible digital citizenship within Nigeria’s education sector, ensuring that young people understand the importance of privacy, security, and ethical data use in their academic pursuits.
