NDPC Brings Data Protection Act Compliance Training to Hospitality Sector

As part of the Nigeria Data Protection Commission’s (NDPC) efforts to promote data protection and privacy across all sectors, the Commission held a data protection and privacy training for members of the Hotel Owners Forum Abuja (HOFA) at Radiance Springs Hotel in the Federal Capital Territory.

During the training, participants were introduced to key principles of data protection, including lawful data processing, consent management, and data subject rights. They were also briefed on the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA), with particular emphasis on the roles and responsibilities of data controllers and processors within the hospitality industry.

The Question-and-Answer session featured practical scenarios on common data breaches and highlighted effective preventive measures hoteliers can implement.
